Black York Region Youth (BYR Youth); an organization aiming to combat anti-black racism across the Greater Toronto Area, is proud to host its 2nd annual Black Youth market on Sunday, August 18th from 12:00-4:00 at Bill Crothers Secondary School.
Last year's event was a success! The market comprised 20 Black youth businesses that had the opportunity to sell their products to the general public. In addition, there was also music played by DJ Djlovejones, food catered by Heaven Kitchen and a panel of 5 Back youth entrepreneurs who shared their experiences as business owners.
This year BYR Youth’s youth-led team hopes to make the market a greater success by continuing to give Black youth entrepreneurs and artists a platform to sell their products, music provided by the infamous Black youth DJ Love Jones, a panel of Black youth entrepreneurs who share their experience of running their own business and then ew addition of Black youth performances throughout the market.
